This California native is mos def on the rise. Mr. Roy definitely has a unique style which sets him apart from the rest. Although his song "Carmencita" is not my favorite by him the video is extra dope. Check out his myspace http://www.myspace.com/robroy where you can hear some of his other tracks and my two favorite songs "Fur in My Cap" and "Velvet Rope Blue".

-Before Stoney's Party
-At Mike's GP condo
-The Party shut down Hotel Helix (this is a total understatement)
-Random ride home in the Benz from two who shall remain nameless....or maybe we can't remember their names because we just took a ride from some randoms lol O I love us.
How time flies....
This past summer Saudi and I randomly stumbled upon an interesting photo event while roaming around the city. The event was hidden, located behind the Durkl warehouse on I street D.C. It's crazy how we find things. It was filled with people, food, lights, and dogs ; /. We had an amazing time there, and not to mention meeting CEO of the organization Casey Kelbaugh and hanging out with the dude. GREAT TIMES!

Back in November Saudi had the privilege of being one of the host for a fundraising breakfast for DC-CAP and The College Success Foundation. She was given the opportunity to share her story with an audience of about 300 and it was truly a remarkable experience. In the crowd were her greatest sister, mentor, friend ,life coach Dr. Nisha Sachdev, grandmother , and father. She was able to tell her story about her journey to further her education how it was not easy and how others could help students such as Saudi by donating to organizations such as DC-CAP and The College Success Foundation. DC-CAP and CSF help hundreds of DC high school students attend college every year with generous funding. While DC-CAP is open to all of DC high school students CSF is only available to students living in ward 7 and 8. This breakfast was a huge success and amazing opportunity not only for Saudi but for three other students as well pictured above Davon, Ramsey and Tommesha. We all had one thing in common our will and drive to continue our education regardless of our circumstances.... and we did just that even when all the odds were stacked against us. We may not have went to the best schools DC had to offer or even came from the best of families but we all made it(attended college) when according to many statistics we were not supposed to. Often times DC students especially East of the River living or attending school get categorized, Jah and Saudi know this feeling all to well. There are times when people laughed at our schools Spingarn and H.D. Woodson because of how poorly the students would perform but we rose above it all and we are here and Saudi was able to tell the world!......

"The secret of attraction is to love yourself. Attractive people judge neither themselves nor others. They are open to gestures of love. They think about love and express their love in every action. They know that love is not a mere sentiment but the ultimate truth at heart of the universe."
